Empty land near Highway 99 and Stockton Boulevard in unincorporated Sacramento County could have 228 new apartments under a new application, some with an affordability component.
Rangeview Apartments, at 7516 Rangeview Lane, is being proposed by Iqbal Chohan of Servo Investment Inc., according to the application.
Chohan referred inquiries about the project to the architect, Young Kim of HRGA. Kim didn't return a message seeking comment.
According to the application, Rangeview would have four three-story buildings, with a unit mix of 30 studios, 138 one-bedroom and 60 two-bedroom units.
"The buildings have been positioned to the parallel to the Rangeview road to promote pedestrian activity, and create inviting entrances," states the narrative in the application. "This orientation also enhances community, facilitates access for residents and visitors, and allows buildings to enliven public spaces by engaging with the sidewalk and street life."
Forty-eight of the units would be designated for low-income housing, according to another application with the county. Typically, low income means people making 50% to 80% of area median income.
No other units would have an affordability component outlined in the applications, suggesting they would be rented at market rates.
In square footages, the units would range from 510 to 1,040 square feet. The site would also have 402 parking spaces, an outdoor pool, clubhouse and surrounding landscaping. Each apartment would have a private balcony.. Access would be from Rangeview Lane through a gated entry. Total building square footage is 205,140 square feet.
