THE HATCHERY

The proposed Hatchery project is a three-story mixed-use building located in the Oak Park neighborhood of Sacramento. The development includes 33 residential apartment units organized around shared courtyard common areas.

The building is designed to integrate seamlessly with the neighborhood’s industrial context through a restrained palette of simple materials and clear building forms. Exterior materials include gray brick, cement plaster, and metal railings and canopies, reinforcing a durable and contemporary industrial character.

The site planning carefully balances multiple programmatic and environmental considerations, including parking efficiency, active retail street frontage, usable open space, and access to daylight for residential units. Along Broadway Street, the building establishes a vibrant, dynamic, and welcoming presence that contributes positively to the ongoing revitalization of the corridor.
