HRGA

This 12,000 sf Catholic church seats 600 in a hexagon-shaped floor plan rotated 45 degrees to the site to facilitate easy pedestrian access from a courtyard that links the building to the existing parking lot. The symmetrical plan features a baptismal font, altar, presidential chair and tabernacle on a central axis leading from the Narthex. The raised altar extends deep into the sloping nave that nearly encirces the altar. The intimacy of the space is enhanced with all seating provided in only eight rows of pews. The building features a Corten steel roof and skylight framing, with a cross that extends to a height of 80 feet above the floor.
