The City of Sacramento selected the design-build team of Unger Construction Co and HRGA to complete the Old Sacramento Riverfront Boardwalk replacement and K Street Barge repair project. This project Spans over 2 acres and will include the replacement of the existing riverfront boardwalk surface with a more durable and sustainable surface that is also ADA compliant. $7.7 million project that will replace the worn out wooden boards with stamped and colored concrete made to look like wood. The project has been in the works since 2013 and has received approvals from municipal and federal departments because Old Sacramento is a national historic landmark.
The project is completed in 2018.
