HRGA designed the 1.38-acre undeveloped parcel located at 1020 W Capitol Ave.  The project is to construct a new four-story, 115-room, Home 2 Suites By Hilton, extended-stay hotel.  There are currently no extended-stay hotels in downtown West Sacramento.  This project will be the first of its kind in the local market.   Home2 Suites By Hilton features contemporary designed guest rooms with state-of-the-art kitchens and living areas intended to serve guests staying for an extended period. Typically average guest stay is between 2-6 days. Home2 Suites by Hilton is the innovative mid-scale, all-suite extended-stay hotel thoughtfully designed for savvy, sophisticated, cost-conscious travelers staying a few months or a few nights.  

 

The exterior design and finish of the project are compatible with adjacent buildings around. 

Two main exterior materials are proposed. Woodgrain fiber panel goes up to fourth-floor high to create visual interests at street elevation. The rest of the building will be used cement plaster with neutral colors to meet Title 24 Energy code as well as building context around the area.

 

The project is completed in August 2021
